Collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body. As a so-called structural protein, collagen is found everywhere where elasticity and strength are important, i.e. in the skin, ligaments and tendons, cartilage, bones etc.
UC-II® is the patented name for undenatured, natural type II collagen, which is responsible for tensile strength and toughness, especially in cartilage. UC-II® collagen can unfold its supportive function especially in case of stress on the joints caused by sports. The collagen content in the body also decreases with advancing age because production slows down.
Supplementary vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation, which is beneficial for healthy, normal cartilage function.
