Active ingredient: Dry extract of artichoke leaves
Artichokes contain inulin, sugar, tanning agents, the enzymes inulase, invertase and rennet enzyme, furthermore a high content of potassium, calcium, magnesium and above all manganese. The medical importance of the artichoke is already very old. The following effects of the artichoke are known:
- stimulation of the gall production in the liver cells,
- stimulation of the distribution of the bile out of the gall bladder in the small intestine, especially important for the fat digestion,
- influencing of the cholesterol level.
Each dragee contains 300mg of artichoke leaves extract 5.8-7.5:1.
Composition: 1 coated tablet contains: The active ingredient is: 300 mg dry extract of artichoke leaves (5,8-7,5:1), extraction agent: water
The other ingredients are: Maltodextrin, precipitated silica, Povidone K 90, pregelatinized maize starch, carboxymethyl starch sodium (Type A) (Ph.Eur), lactose monohydrate, powdered cellulose, magnesium stearate (Ph.Eur), purified water, hypromellose, glycerol 85%, titanium dioxide E 171, talc, calcium carbonate , sucrose, white clay, gum arabic, polyethylene glycol 6000. Contains carbohydrates equivalent to 0.03 BE (bread units).
Recommended dosage: The coated tablets should be swallowed unchewed with plenty of water. Bile Tablets with Artichoke is not intended for use in children under 12 years of age.
Fields of application: Traditionally used for the support of the digestion function by stimulation of bile flow.
