Due to the acidic character of vitamin C, Ester-C® has been developed in which the vitamin C is bonded to calcium and L-threonate and thus becomes 100% acid-free. Ester-C® does not place strain on the body's acid-base balance, is gentle on tooth enamel and is therefore also highly suitable for sensitive people. In addition, the vitamin C in Ester-C® can be absorbed twice as quickly into the blood and remains available in the body for double the length of time in comparison to normal vitamin C.
